Dear Budding Talents!
We have seen the month of February 2019 settle down and the new Council at various levels of our institute for the year 2019-2020 has kick started. No better timing to review the past year and plan the next one. We need to march forward in our endeavour to make our profession stand out in the days our country needs to remain united and calm. I would like to pay my homage to all the martyred brave soldiers who lost their lives during the Pulwama attacks and strongly condemn this cowardly act.
February was an activity studded month with programmes ranging from motivational talk from none other than the Stalwart of our Profession , CA Venugopal C Govind, lecture meetings on Interim Budget, Professional & Personal ethics and honouring the Foundation and Intermediate Rank holders.
We take this opportunity to proudly announce that the Ernakulam Branch of SICASA has been adjudged the SIRC Best Branch Students’ Association among the Large & Mega Category SICASA Branches for the year 2018.
Time is flying fast and we are in March facing the fast approaching financial year end. The changes in all spheres of the profession are the order of the day. As we are gearing up for the financial year end activities and looking forward to the new financial year, here are a few basic principles we should always bear in mind:
- Focus – on the activity on hand which would ensure the activity is productive
- Determination –set your heart on the goal you are focusing on
- Value – don’t compromise on the values instilled deep down which makes you a true professional
- Care – for the people around you
- Hardworking – work like you have no tomorrow to achieve your goals
Success is all about Self Expression. It’s about what you want to be, where you want to be and how you want to be. Don’t allow reality to be bigger than your dreams. Don’t allow bills, circumstances and expectation of others to hold you back from success. Have a successful year ahead!

The First Branch of the Southern India Regional Council of ICAI in Kerala, the Ernakulam Branch, was set up on 1st December 1967
It is the largest Branch in the State with more than 1600 members and more than 6000 students. At present it is the 3rd largest branch in South India.
